While speaking for the Process of Berlin, Von der Leyen stated that the countries of the Western Balkans have a common future, referring to their membership into the EU.

“We should speed up the enlargement process and in parallel, we should bring the Western Balkans closer to our path, so that it can become more stable, digitalized and elastic,” said the President of the EC.
