Evi Kokalari said in an interview for Euronews Albania that the conservative movement warned by her will turn into a political party if the DP of the re-establishment, led by Sali Berisha, will enter the local elections on May 14 with the logo of the Meta party. 

Kokalari said that with the re-establishment commission, PD was intended to return to a party according to conservative principles, which, as she said, did not happen and PD went downhill.

“I don’t want to interfere in the local elections of the DP of the re-establishment, even though I fear that the DP will enter the elections with the LSI logo. And, if this happens, this movement will turn into a conservative party, which will unfold a completely different program than the one that Albanians have seen for 32 years, which is also the reason why we are in this state with a destroyed economy and very low wages,” said Kokalari.
