Evi Kokalari has announced the beginning of her Conservative Movement in Albania.

Through a Facebook update, Kokalari said that the movement will officially start in June, when she comes to Albania, but the organizers are already working on it, to create structures in Tirana, Durrës and other main cities.

She stated that the goal of this movement is a reorganization of the Albanian right, that will gather individuals who want serious change.

“If I can, I will bring together many Democrats and give them what they have always missed – meritocracy. I feel I am able to build the Albanian right and lead it to victory. The Democratic Party can stay still or join us. This is an individual decision. Sali Berisha himself is welcome, as long as he understands he cannot lead us to victory. We gave him the support but he sold on us. Now, he must give way to the new generation, without the influence of leftist elements. Knowing his ego, I can see him standing his ground until the end and refusing to change how the Democratic Party functions. In this case, the best answer would be political isolation, which has already started. Make no mistake, Berisha is losing his militants. There is a chance for me to build a strong right and I promise that the post-communist regime in Albania will end, alongside how politics is done,” write Kokalari.
