Gjelosh Gjokaj was a renowned artist from Montenegro. He was able to leave his mark worldwide with over 45 international solo exhibits and well over 70 group shows.

For several days, the works of master Gjelosh Gjokaj have been exhibited at the Center for Openness and Dialogue.

Over 73 paintings have been made public for art lovers by a relative of the painter. Sead Gjokaj, who managed to collect them and put them together, has a part inherited from the maestro and a part he has collected over the years.

“Seadi plans to increase this collection to 100 works. It is thought that the maestro left us a legacy of over 3,000 works, scattered around the world. Gjelosh Gjokaj, moves in his stylistics, focuses on the symbolism and stylistics of the work of art. He uses different techniques, aquatints, oil paintings and acrylics,” said Ena Bulku, director of COD.

Gjelosh Gjokaj, through his art, conveys his feelings, inspired by the emotions he receives, especially from the countries where the painter lived, such as Italy, Germany.

In the exhibition of works of art dating from 1961 to 2013, held in the prime minister’s office, what stands out is the 5-meter high work, Song for Kadinjaca, it contains a tragic symbol and is a work of art that tells about history.
