The situation has worsened considerably as a result of the current meteorological conditions in Kukes district.
The sector most affected by the rain is the supply of electricity to the general population, where all the administrative units in the Kukes district are currently left in the dark, as reported by the working groups set up at the Civil Emergency Headquarters in the Kukes Prefecture.
Conditions have also worsened on national and rural roads due to the continuous fall of stones and soil.
The contracting firms have brought their equipment and employees to the field and are working on keeping the roads safe, open, and under close monitoring, despite the danger that comes to the latter themselves by working in the current extreme weather conditions.
