Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted following the news of the death of former Prime Minister Fatos Nano.

“Farewell, Chairman,” Rama wrote alongside an old photo of Nano standing next to the Socialist Party flag.

Fatos Nano passed away at the age of 73, after suffering from a serious lung illness.

For more than three weeks, Nano had been hospitalized in a private hospital in Tirana, after experiencing clinical death (cardiocirculatory arrest) at his home.
