Kosovo is facing a new wave of infections from COVID-19. In the last 24 hours, 14 citizens lost their live and over 2500 others were confirmed positive.

The Institute of Public Health in Kosovo (IKSHPK) stated that the positivity scale was confirmed after the results came back on 12 618 tests conducted nationwide.

As a result of the pandemic, a total of 2.356 citizens have died in Kosovo, the majority of whom exhibited underlying health conditions. In addition, there’s also been a considerable rise in citizens that beat the virus.

The ministry of health admitted that 604 citizens recovered, bringing the total number to 108 000 since the onset of the pandemic.

Since the beginning of the vaccination process, a total of 747.898 doses of the vaccine have been administered, as health authorities call on citizens to continue heading to vaccination centers and receive a dose against COVID-19.
