The candidate for the leadership of the Democratic Party Fatbardh Kadilli introduced on Ilva Now the main points of his political manifesto. The fundamental principle of this manifesto is creating a party that is larger than its leader.
According to Kadilli, the power should not rest on the leader, as the former’s preferences might be subjective, which makes those who are not liked by the leader stay passive.
“The leader should not hold the power, as there are many who do not want him, or the leader does not like the. The party is operating according to the sympathies of the leaders. The party gets smaller, we have a party that is large, but not all of it is operational. The party becomes bigger when its members retain the power”, said Kadilli.
Furthermore, he added that party leaders get too caught up with power, hence it becomes increasingly difficult to let go of it.
“Every leader has wanted a monopoly. They don’t want to let go”, he said.
The candidate for the leadership post said that in case he gets elected, he will encourage party members in their career believing that this makes them more united as well as takes away the reasons to leave the party by making them more motivated.
“What I am proposing and contributes to the enlargement of the party is not hindering anyone’s career. My political manifesto guarantees a career to all. Everyone has its own leadership. This unites party members. We had many who were not satisfied and formed their own parties. Why? Because at a given moment they didn’t see themselves at the Democratic Party”
After creating a party larger than its leader, Kadilli said the next step will be to create a party larger than itself.
