For the fourth consecutive year, well-known Kosovar conductor Trimor Dhomi treated music lovers in Korçë to an a cappella concert, featuring beloved songs not only from the city of serenades but also from other Albanian-speaking regions.

Once again, Dhomi succeeded in building a rich, multi-voice a cappella choir, harmonized to a high artistic standard, despite the fact that a large number of the performers were amateurs. The performance was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience, confirming both the artistic quality and the passion conveyed in every interpretation.

“It is not easy at all, but with determination, patience, and passion for singing, we are managing even the more difficult scores. When you bring the music closer to the soul and the heart, it becomes easier to hear the second, third, and fourth voices. These are four- and five-part harmonies,” said Dhomi.

The Director of the Andon Zako Çajupi Theatre in Korçë, Zamira Kita, said that cultural activities will continue in the coming days, as Korçë has effectively become a city of celebrations.

“We will continue until the end of the month. Today we had ‘Aria of Korçë,’ we will go on with the youth choir, host the Lira Choir on the 30th, and I must mention the musical masterpiece Cathedral on the 28th and 29th—the first time a musical has been staged on this stage. It will be a beautiful way to conclude this festive month. We have had both domestic and foreign tourists, as well as returning emigrants on weekends. Korçë has been full, and audiences have shown great interest in our performances,” Kita said.

Throughout the month of December, Korçë has hosted a wide range of concerts and festive events in the Old Bazaar, along the pedestrian streets, and within the theatre, creating a warm holiday atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.
