In the Special Appeal Court against Crime and Corruption, the first session for the Fier incinerator took place today. The former Minister of Environment Lefter Koka did not appear but was represented by the lawyer.

Based on Article 427/4 of the Code of Procedure, the court decided to repeat the trial in Appeal to question some witnesses and the defendant Arjola Kodra.

A few days ago, SPAK (Special Prosecutor’s Office) requested in the GJKKO Appeal that the charge of abuse of office for the Elbasan incinerator be added to the former minister, for which the first instance sentenced him to 6.8 years in prison with a shortened trial.

Koka expressed in the courtroom in the Constitutional Court Appeal regarding the Elbasan incinerator that he does not agree to be punished for corruption and that he calls himself innocent.
