Epidemiologist Ilir Alihmehmeti has spoken about the flu situation in our country, stressing that the situation from Covid-19 is calm.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, he said that if a person has a fever, he should not take too many antibiotics.

He also emphasized that the symptoms of this flu are high fever, chills, and a lot of body aches.

“Important for the entire audience to know is that since for the past two or three years, we had some measures in place, some blocking, the flu did not pass as it does year after year and therefore, it was expected that the situation would be more serious. It is important not to drown in anti-biotics without need because the fever will pass by itself but it needs care. This flu is very severe, with great fatigue, high fever, with sweating, but the most at-risk ages are very old and children. Active ages suffer the consequences later but not in such severe forms. Fortunately, we are calm about the coronavirus,” he said.
