“Folk on Tour” was the title of the concert that the National Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances presented in Gjirokastra, creating a special and festive atmosphere in the museum area of ​​the city.

The performance of folk songs and dances presented by talented folk artists was followed with interest by many residents and tourists.

“Gjirokastra is a very good host of culture and tradition, absolutely not only for foreign tourists but above all for the locals and citizens of Gjirokastra, it is a special pleasure, here we really feel the aroma of tradition, culture, hospitality and it’s not for nothing that many events like Gjirokastra’s FFK are organized in the most perfect way here, for us it’s a pleasure to share the evening with Gjirokastra citizens and tourists”, said one of the artists.

“This stone city carries with it a lot of emotion, a lot of characteristic things, and we feel at home to perform as well as possible, especially since there are also many tourists who like folklore a lot and I will try my best to we show this folklore”, said another.

Now the values ​​of folklore, ethnography and popular tradition are promoting the development of tourism in Gjirokastra. Throughout the summer, popular groups and ensembles have performed in the stone city, accompanied by applause from residents and tourists.
