Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, announced via a Facebook post that five Albanian citizens who were in Israel for tourism and professional purposes have been safely evacuated.
“Five Albanian citizens, who were in Israel for tourism and professional reasons, were safely evacuated today through Egypt. They are now in Egypt in good health and are expected to return to Albania soon,” Hasani wrote.
The evacuation and return were facilitated by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs through the Albanian embassies in Tel Aviv and Cairo.
“We thank the Israeli authorities, the Greek and Bulgarian Embassies in Tel Aviv, the Egyptian authorities, and the Albanian Consul General in Lebanon for their support and cooperation,” the minister added.
