Dozens of foreign tourists have chosen to visit Vlora during the winter to enjoy the tranquility offered by the coastal city. For them, Albania is not only a beautiful place but also largely unknown.
A tourist from Belgium emphasized that he chose this time of year because it is not hot and there are fewer tourists.
“I come from Belgium. It’s my first time in Vlora and in Albania as well. We chose Albania because for most of us it is an unknown country, and in a few years it will be part of Europe, so we wanted to visit this place and learn from it.
We chose this period for our holiday because it’s not too hot and there aren’t many people. We really like the architecture and the history of this place,” he said.
Another tourist said she has enjoyed Albania and will recommend it to others.
“We come from Belgium. All of us are from there. It’s our first time in Vlora. We like the city very much. You have the sea and a beautiful city, and that’s perfect for us.
We are visiting everything in the city, it’s beautiful. We chose Albania this time because we didn’t know anything about this country. I will recommend Albania,” she said.
Vlora even welcomes tourists from faraway countries, such as China.
“I come from China. For me, this is not the first time visiting Albania—it is my third time, but my first time in Vlora. I’m here for the third time because I am the one who guides groups of tourists.
I think there is a lot of interest among Chinese citizens to come to Albania. We have visited several places, and we like the history and architecture here. Albania is a beautiful country, we love it,” she said.
Tourists say that Vlora has truly impressed them and that they will return again.
