Foreign investments in 2023 were 1.5 billion euros. The data released by the Bank of Albania show that compared to 2022, the flow of money invested in Albania has increased by 120 million euros.

Only in the last quarter of the year, foreign investments reached 402 million euros, from 388 million euros that were in the same quarter of 2022.

According to the industries, the greatest attention of investors is focused on real estate, this sector that is giving the greatest impact on the economic growth of the country.

Separated by country, the Netherlands, Italy and Turkey lead the list for the value of investments in Albania.

Dutch companies have invested 300 million euros in the country, followed by Italian companies with 202 million euros and Turkish companies with 179 million euros.

Currently, the government is working on a new legal framework for strategic and foreign investments, in order to have only one law in force that encourages investors to come to the country and focus on different sectors.
