Former President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, has publicly responded to media reports linking her name to the “Epstein” file, recently released by the U.S. Department of Justice. In an official statement, Jahjaga described these reports as untrue, unfounded, and misleading to the public.

“Media reports about my ‘connection’ to the ‘Epstein’ file are completely false. As President of the Republic of Kosovo, I have never had any acquaintance, meeting, or any form of contact with the individual in question,” Jahjaga stated.

She emphasized that the mention of her name in some media outlets is related only to an electronic correspondence between third parties, which, according to her, does not prove or demonstrate any meeting, acquaintance, or personal connection. “My name is not mentioned anywhere in any of the published documents. In the email in question, the ‘President of Kosovo’ is mentioned without specifying who it refers to and without any request for a meeting in my name,” the former president clarified.

Jahjaga described any other interpretation of this correspondence as insinuation and called on all media outlets that have mentioned her name in this context to publish her clarification. “I have not known, met, or requested a meeting with the individual in question in any position I have held,” she stressed.
