After the de-escalation of violence in the north of Kosovo, the German government has called on Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to act.

He must be aware of his preparation for peace in the region and do everything to de-escalate, a spokesman for the German Foreign Ministry promises in Berlin, writes Deutsche Welle.

But if the Serbian government now organizes a day of mourning for the killed, it will not contribute to de-escalation, he said.

What is necessary to clarify. It is irritating to see how the Serbian president “declares that the guilties are the victims.”

In the north of Kosovo, according to the informationa, 30 armed and masked people opened fire on the Kosovo police in a small village on the border with Serbia. Then they occupied a Serbian Orthodox monastery. A police officer and three attackers were killed during the exchange of fire, according to police.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti spoke about a terrorist attack carried out by criminals encouraged by Serbia. Serbia and Vucic have rejected the accusations.
