Global campaign “16 days of activism against gender-based violence” has started in Kosovo and during this period, state institutions and civil society organizations will organize a series of activities to raise awareness against gender-based violence.

The Minister of Justice of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, on November 25 participated in the first lesson at the “Ahmet Gashi” school in Pristina, as in all schools throughout the country, the first lesson is dedicated to awareness against gender-based violence.

Haxhiu told the students that violence is never acceptable and that it should not be returned with violence, but it should be reported.

“The Ministry of Justice has the responsibility to address policies for addressing domestic violence and gender-based violence. Until now, we have undertaken many actions aimed at rehabilitating people who commit such actions, i.e. commit domestic violence or are violent in the family environment, as we have undertaken many actions aimed at providing the victims with the services they need”, said Haxhiu.
