Deputy minister of agriculture, Arian Jaupllari, said on Euronews Albania’s “Now with Erla Mehilli” that the situation of floods is improving and we are not in the conditions of declaring a national state of disaster.
“There is no reason to declare a state of natural disaster. To declare a state of natural disaster under these conditions, I do not understand, I am speechless because there is no need and no place for it. We have been on the ground all the time since the first day,” said Jaupllari.
Meanwhile, in yesterday’s show, the director of Civil Emergencies, Haki Cako, criticized the work that some municipalities have done in the difficult situation created by the heavy rains during the past 2 days.
Cako said that all the structures were and are at the top of their duties, while he emphasized that the primary thing is to save people’s lives.
