On Monday, the Governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko, held an official meeting with a delegation from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), led by Hannes Takacs, the EBRD’s newly appointed Resident Representative in Albania. The delegation also included Ekaterina Solovova, along with other representatives from both institutions.
According to reports, at the beginning of the meeting, Governor Sejko briefed the EBRD representatives on the latest economic and financial developments in the country. He stated that, based on the Bank of Albania’s forecasts, the Albanian economy is expected to continue growing at a solid pace in the coming period.
The Governor emphasized that the prudent and consistent monetary policy pursued by the Bank of Albania has made a significant contribution to preserving macroeconomic stability, creating favorable financial conditions for the sustainable development of the economy.
