Richard Grenell, the special envoy of Donald Trump for special missions, reacted through a post on X to statements made by Vjosa Osmani.

Grenell wrote that Osmani is lying and described the Kurti–Osmani team as a catastrophe.

According to him, Osmani’s statements about the Trump administration are made for her political survival.

“She is lying. The Kurti/Osmani team has been a catastrophe and everyone clearly sees it. She will say anything for her political survival,” he wrote, attaching Osmani’s statement.

The article to which Grenell responded states that Osmani said the Trump 2 administration is the most pro-Kosovo U.S. administration since George W. Bush, when Kosovo declared independence.

It further states that Osmani said the Joe Biden administration had repeatedly requested concessions from Kosovo in talks with Serbia, while the Trump administration supports Kosovo’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and NATO membership without concessions.

“Speaking about her meeting with Marco Rubio, Osmani said they discussed:

– Creating a concrete plan for Kosovo’s recognition by countries that have not yet recognized it

– Assistance for Kosovo’s membership in NATO.

Osmani also described Kosovo’s participation in the Peace Board as a major achievement, saying that leaders from countries that have not recognized Kosovo told her they could now consider recognition. She added that all of this was achieved with zero money spent on lobbying,” the article states.
