The former president of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, took the floor in the trial being held in The Hague against the leaders of the KLA. On the second day in front of the Special Court, Thaçi expressed regret for all the victims during the conflict in 1998-1999.

“I feel regret and pain for all the victims of this war, regardless of their all their ethnic, religious or political affiliation,” said Thaçi.

As on Monday at the start of the trial, this Tuesday Thaçi emphasized that he is innocent of all charges and that he is ready to face them, for his family and his nation.

“I am innocent of all these charges. But I am ready to face this new challenge and succeed for my family, my people”, said Thaçi.

This is a “journey towards truth and justice”, underlined the former president of Kosovo.
