Richard Grenell, the former U.S. Special Presidential Envoy under Donald Trump for special missions, has stated that former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi is being held in The Hague without a proper trial.

In a social media post, Grenell claimed that Europe has failed and is not responding to what he described as the injustice being done to Thaçi.

He even suggested that Thaçi should sue The Hague in U.S. courts.

“There are many reasons why Europe is failing. But one example is the large number of European politicians who remain silent about The Hague, which has kept a Head of State in prison for five years without trial — and then the trial drags on for many more years. It’s a brutal, archaic system run by elites. This is not justice. And no one should ever again take legal advice from a European. I hope Hashim Thaçi sues everyone in The Hague in an American court when he is released — after all, it’s funded by U.S. taxpayers,” wrote Grenell.
