The former president of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has pleaded not guilty to charges against the administration of justice, the Special Court in The Hague announced on January.
Thaçi made the declaration in written form on Monday, January 6, writes KosovaPress.
“After the preliminary procedure judge’s invitation to the conference on the progress of the case on December 17, Hashim Thaçi declared his guilt in written form on January 6, 2025. He pleaded not guilty to all counts of the indictment”, says the announcement of the Specialized Chambers of Kosovo, known as the Special Court.
Thaçi is being accused for the second time by the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in The Hague. The SPS charges him with acts related to influencing witnesses – while he is in a protracted trial for alleged war crimes.
Kuçi, the former head of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, Bashkim Smakaj, the former mayor of Malisheva, Isni Kilaj, and the former KLA member Fadil Fazli.
It is about criminal offenses related to allegations of “influencing the testimony of witnesses” in the “Thaçi and others” court case.
