Prime Minister Edi Rama, in his opening speech at the official reception ceremony for former US President Bill Clinton, expressed his special emotion as he underlined his admiration for the extraordinary personality of the former head of the White House.
“It has never been more difficult for me than to prepare to speak, and then to speak here, knowing that a man will take the floor after me, who, even before I entered everyday political life, I have seen and heard the speeches, about the extraordinary taste of the journey to a better world. In search of peace, prosperity and love among people, where the path is the very goal of the efforts. And then I not only saw and re-heard what he said, but also studied how he said it, admiring what is neither taught nor shown, the fascinating empathy that makes Clinton the most amazing orator that history has known.” Rama said.
Rama described Clinton as the president whose wisdom captured the hearts of Americans and inspired the whole Europe.
“Constantly through hundreds of speeches, one more beautiful than the other, but without question that he said what he did and did what he said, he captured the heart of America and inspired the whole of Europe with the unique power of his words. He made a historic contribution not only to America, but to the whole spirit of Europe”, said Rama.
