Aleksander Arsenijevic, leader of the Serbian civic initiative “Serbian Survival”, took out a black flag with the Nike sign under which was written “we are just protesting, not violence”. Arsenijevic said that this flag will be a symbol of the Serbs’ protest; “Nike-just protesting”.

He also gave a speech in front of the protesters, giving a message to Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti. He said that Kurti must either return to Serbia, or he will end up in the prisons of Kosovo.

He further added that they apologize to KFOR for the unpleasant events of Monday and said that he calls on our citizens to give them all their support because it is a friendly formation that prevents them from coming into contact with the Kosovo police.

“Today, with this performance, I want to send a message to Mr. Kurti, who yesterday called us a “fascist crowd” “that should return to Serbia or end up in the prisons of Kosovo”. Citizens with masks are citizens who are afraid of unfair persecution by the Kosovo authorities. And we want to mock this delegitimization of our protest with this flag.

I invite all international representatives to come to these three municipalities to see these people, to talk with them, they are desperate, these are our mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters who want to live peacefully and with dignity alone and not suffer subjugation and humiliation. Our ancestors have lived here for centuries and my grandfather, not Mr. Kurti’s grandfather, walked these streets.

At the same time, he calls the man who built his political career on violence and tear gas against institutions and the international community a fascist and a mob. Mr. Kurti also says how he wants to “protect himself” and how he wants to talk to us. We ask him not to talk to us through long tubes and scopes, which has been going on for over a year.

We also regret that civilian frustration eventually spread to KFOR, which is a force that should be our ally. On this occasion, we apologize to KFOR for the unpleasant events of Monday and call on our citizens to give them all their support because it is a friendly formation that prevents them from coming into contact with the Kosovo police.

In his statement, he raised the claim that Kurti is using double standards, since according to him there are protests and calls against Serbs in the south, but there is no tear gas or anything being used there.
