Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu, has held a meeting, at the “Zyber Hallulli” Orphanage, with children and youth who are attending various professional training courses.

“Ensuring independent and dignified living, through acquiring knowledge, proper education and training them for the future, is our goal,” said Minister Koçiu at the beginning of her speech.

With the aim that the future and development of the children will be as healthy as possible, Minister Koçiu has emphasized that the process of de-institutionalization will continue, which will serve for the security of their well-being.

“Through education and professional training, social and family relations are strengthened. By having a profession you can get a job in the future. And by getting a job, you can also have a stable income, which helps you create a healthy family. By supporting children and youth that are part of our institutions with a good social care, it makes everyone fit for the labor market for a dignified life.” – said Minister Koçiu.

Also, the establishment of the home-family model and the youth center, as mentioned, aims not only to accommodate children and young people as best as possible, but also to develop their full potential, to provide a safe environment, family and support where youth are encouraged to follow their dreams.

At the end of this activity, the Minister of Health and Social Protection distributed the evaluation certificates to all the children and youth present.
