The audits carried out by the High State Control in the period January-April 2023 have found violations on the part of the institutions amounting to 21 million euros.

Results are given only from 20 audit procedures completed and evaded. The economic damage is divided into two items, the first of which are the financial irregularities and violations, in the income and in the incurred expenses, which for the 4 months result in economic damage in the total amount of 1 million euros.

The second voice is related to the ineffective management of funds, where the damage reaches 20 million euros.

Damage found by the HSC in 55 central and local institutions was found in tender procedures, the implementation of works and the creation of debts for non-liquidation of local fees and taxes, mostly in the municipalities of Kamëz, Belsh, Lezhë and Vau i Dejës.

During the 4 months of 2023, the Supreme State Audit has recommended 345 measures, of which 280 are organizational, 5 are measures for legal changes or improvements, 22 are compensation measures and 38 are measures with negative effects due to irregularities. The institutions themselves have accepted 342 measures.
