The Himara Association has announced it will hold a protest in Athens this Tuesday. The protest will be held as a sign of solidarity with Fredi Beleri and to oppose his arrest, which the Himara Association describes as unjust.

Through an official statement, the association invites all Albanian and Greek citizens to join the protest in front of the Albanian embassy in Athens, at 18:00.

“The Albanian government, against any concept of the law, decided to continue the imprisonment of the mayor of Himara, Fredis Beleris (Fredi Beleri) and citizen Pantelis Kokavesis (Pandeli Kokaveshi). Facing this issue, the Himara Association will exert all the power it canso that our compatriots are freed as they deserve,” it was stated in the announcement.
