The ambassador of the United States of America in Kosovo, Jeff Hovenier, has said that the rise of tensions has a bad effect on the investment climate in Kosovo. Hovenier made these statements at the meeting with business representatives, held together with Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
He called the meeting important for the need to strengthen cooperation and expand dialogue between the Government and the private sector.
“I was a participant in an important meeting that Prime Minister Albin Kurti had with business representatives about the need to strengthen cooperation and expand the dialogue between the Government and the private sector. We also discussed how the increased tensions and instability negatively affect the investment climate in Kosovo”, he wrote on Twitter, where he told about today’s meeting.
While from the Office of Prime Minister Kurti, through a press release, it was said that “the meeting discussed the opportunities and challenges in the private sector, with an emphasis on the financing of business expansion and the workforce, as well as ways to attract more foreign direct investments in our country”.
There it is said that the head of the executive emphasized the importance of sustainable economic development, the potential that Kosovo has and the possibility of deepening cooperation with the private sector.
