The US ambassador in Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, has described as important the compatibility between the prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the Serbian president, Aleksandar Vucic, for the implementation of the Agreement towards the normalization of relations between the two countries.

Kurti and Vucic held marathon meetings on March 18 in Ohrid, in the presence of European negotiators.

The American envoy for the Western Balkans was also present in Ohrid, who also commented on Saturday’s developments as positive.

“The United States will provide full support for the implementation of these obligations, in accordance with our long-term efforts to advance security and stability for the people of Kosovo and the region,” Ambassador Hovenier said in a tweet.
