Only 116 out of 941 voting centers have been counted so far in Tirana.

There is a race between Erion Veliaj and Belind Këlliçi, but results point towards a clear advantage for the SP candidate and current mayor.

Out of the ballots counted so far, Veliaj is ahead with 18,346 votes, meanwhile the “Together We Win” coalition candidate has 11,033 votes.

Kelvin Skrela, head of the Commission of Electoral Administration Zone Nr. 30 in the capital city, disclosed the voting result in the center where PM Edi Rama cast his vote. The counting process there has already ended.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Skrela said that Veliaj got 350 votes, while Këlliçi only got 60 votes.
