The parliament’s payroll shows that in November, MPs and ministers received 28.4 million lek salary, and another 22 million lek benefits from per diems, fuel, rent and telephone.

For legislators in the Assembly, salaries have been doubled for almost a year, with the decision that brought them to 225 thousand ALL from 115 thousand ALL in net value.

Meanwhile, royalties, reimbursement of fuel, rent, telephone and other payments have increased significantly, after the law on salaries and bonuses was approved in the assembly.

For example, a deputy is paid 17,000 Lek for the phone, 40,000 Lek for fuel, and up to 10,000 Lek for committee meetings.

The latter, together with the fees, are not unified and are divided according to the activity of each deputy, and some of them receive 387,000 lek benefits on top of the salary.

From the last month’s payslip, which has already been executed, it appears that the average income of the deputy in the parliament reaches 400 thousand ALL, and some of the officials who are compensated for the rent of the apartment benefit from an income of up to 612 thousand ALL per month.
