On Monday, law enforcement authorities are expected to put in force the actions ordered by the National Inspectorate for the Protection of the Territory regarding the abolishment of structures that have been built without a permit, as well as taking legal action against the individuals breaking the law.

By launching the operation called “Our coast”, PM Rama appealed to all citizens that have built a structure without permit to bring them down themselves so that they don’t face the penal code but according to information from the ground the reaction from citizens has been quite low.

Meanwhile, Euronews Albania has learned that the Chief Officer Ardi Veliu has criticized the work conducted until now through a message shared with the tas force.

“Following up on the telegram about illegal constructions, I want to say that I am disappointed with you. It is unimaginable that directories like Shkodra or Vlora report that there are no illegal buildings in their coast areas,” – stated Veliu.

In addition, Euronews Albania has learned that this lack of legality has come as a result of tolerations made by local police departments, which is why over 20 casefiles are currently being investigated for abuse of office and corruption.
