The return of citizens to their workplaces in neighboring countries continues without stopping since January 2. The immigrants who chose the port of Vlora to the Italian ports were high in number. According to the data of the port authority, 1053 citizens have left in the last 24 hours.
Even at the land border points, there was an influx of travelers, mainly at the exit.
At the border crossing point of Kapshtica, over 8,000 citizens who crossed the border, accompanied by about 3,200 vehicles, were registered on Saturday morning alone. On Friday, over 10,000 citizens moved to Kapshtica on both sides of the border. The border police in Kapshtica are working at full capacity, operating with six counters, three at the entrance and three at the exit, to avoid long queues and facilitate the passage of citizens.
At the border point of Qafë Thana, during the last 24 hours, 3504 exiting citizens were registered. They are working there with four exit counters, enabling a good management of the flow.
The weekend at the customs of Kakavija recorded an increased flow of movement towards Greece. During the last 24 hours, 6437 people and 2083 vehicles traveled to the neighboring country through this customs.
Now that the end-of-year holidays have passed in their homeland, our compatriots rush to return to Greece, where they work and live. Due to the increasing flow, at the exit of Albanian land, the Border Police in Kakavije and the Greek side are working to avoid queues at the border.
