Prime Minister Edi Rama was this Monday in Shkodër where he delivered his speech at the General Assembly of the Socialist Party.

He said that the country is already in a very stimulating situation for salaries in the private sector, as according to him this sector will be influenced by the public sector, where it is expected that in the middle of 2024 the average salary will reach 900 euros.

“We have 400 million euros just for salary increases. This means that after the increase made this year, next year we will make a very significant increase for general doctors, for nurses, for police officers, for the armed forces and for all other employees of the Albanian state, for teachers, which will bring the average salary to 900 euros in the middle of next year.  My intention is to increase even more, but compared to a few years ago, this would seem completely electoral.

I am convinced that the next tourist season will bring salaries to higher levels. They are at high levels even now. Unfortunately, after we have reduced informality to a considerable extent in salaries, we have a return of informality as a result of the salary increase, where a part is given in hand, the rest is declared.

It is a fact that in the tourism industry salaries are more than competitive compared to other countries”, said Prime Minister Rama.
