In what condition are Albanians 96 days before the elections? The Barometer reveals the figures

As part of the first measurement regarding the political elections of May 11, 2025, from January 15-30, 2025, MRB-Hellas and Datacentrum conducted the data collection process with 1,600 citizens.

This first political measurement of the 2025 elections by the Barometer on Euronews Albania presents the general situation in the country through six questions, less than 100 days before “May 11.”

When asked about the overall situation in our country today, 35.5% evaluated it positively, while 40.3% rated it negatively. Uncertain about a positive or negative assessment were 24.2% of those surveyed by the Barometer on Euronews Albania.

Similarly, 1,600 people were asked face-to-face about the country’s economic situation.

The responses show that 32.1% rate the country’s economic situation positively, 45% negatively, and 22.9% remain neutral in their assessment.

Regarding their family’s economic situation, 43.1% of respondents expressed satisfaction, while 22.4% said they were dissatisfied, and 34.5% believed their economic condition remained the same.

But are they optimistic about the future in the coming year?

39.7% of surveyed citizens expressed optimism about the country’s economic situation over the next 12 months, 17.9% were pessimistic, while 38.4% believed the country’s economic situation would remain the same.

When asked about their family’s economic situation over the next 12 months, 40.4% hoped for improvement, 12.5% thought it would worsen, and 45% believed it would stay the same.

Is the country heading in the right direction or not?

45.5% of citizens think the country is heading in the right direction, 43% believe it is heading in the wrong direction, and 11.1% think it is stagnating.
