The Deputy Prime Minister, Belinda Ballaku, visited the Mother Teresa/Rinas airport this Friday, on the eve of New Year’s Day.

During her inspection, Balluku announced that an increased influx of passengers over the coming hours is expected, as the number of passengers who will pass through this airport is expected to reach around 15,000.

The Deputy Prime Minister also underlined that the increase in capacity at the airport, with the construction of the new terminal, has meant that even though there will be an influx in the number of incoming and outgoing travelers, there will be no queues or any other issues at check-in and check-out points.

“We are currently at the International Airport of Rinas and we’re only one day away from the end of the year, December 30, and we are expecting 15 thousand passengers to arrive in Tirana. What is most important to emphasize is that this year, we’ve managed to open the new terminal and as we are inspecting, both at the security and at the exit gates, despite the fact that there are 15 thousand passengers, we do not see any queues or other issues and this is all possible as a result of the increase in capacities”, said Balluku.
