INSTAT: Foreign Visitors Increase by 47.6%, Italians Lead

In December 2025, accommodation establishments in Albania recorded a significant increase in visitors and overnight stays compared to the same month a year earlier. The total number of visitors increased by 27.2%, while foreign visitors recorded an even stronger growth of 47.6%, confirming the growing interest in tourism in the country. Overnight stays also rose by 26.2%, with a higher increase from foreign tourists at 39.2%.

Italy remains the main source of foreign tourists, accounting for 25% of the total, followed by Kosovo with 16% and Germany with 6%. Meanwhile, the hotel room occupancy rate reached 20.4%, up from 18.1% a year earlier.

In total, in December 2025, 65,817 resident visitors and 107,377 non-resident visitors were registered in accommodation establishments, indicating strong growth in inbound tourism and an expansion of tourism activity in the country.
