The National Integration Council held its next meeting this Thursday, where the EU Enlargement Commissioner, Oliver Varhelyi, was also present.

In the speech held at the meeting, Foreign Minister Olta Xhaçka emphasized that holding the Stabilization Association Council in Tirana this Thursday is an indication of the European Commission’s commitment to the integration of Albania into the EU.

“This meeting took place for the first time in Tirana. This is an important signal of the commitment and dedication of the Commissioner, but also of the Commission in this process. I think that the Council demonstrated today that Albania and the European Union are close partners not only because we have a contractual relationship, but also that being part of the EU is our strategic and intergenerational choice. Today’s meeting of the Stabilization Association showed that Albania continues to show commitment in completing homework and reforms that bring us closer to the EU”, said Xhaçka.
