The government is also making this call today when interest rates are at high levels.

“With this opportunity created by this situation, for citizens and for any individual entity that wants to be involved in investments in treasury bonds, paying a much smaller commission than what the second-level banks offer”, said Rama.

Bonds are securities of the government, which are used by the citizen if he deposits his money in the bank to benefit from the interest.

And with this risk-free investment, people who have deposits can also benefit from loan payments.

“Those categories of individuals who have deposited and are not small, there are over 800 thousand, they can invest and can create greater wealth by investing in treasury bonds today”, said the Minister of Finance and Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj.

Individuals can participate in treasury bond auctions at the Bank of Albania, which has reopened its counters specifically for this purpose.
