Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted on Monday on the social media platform X regarding the ballistic missile attack on Turkey, strongly condemning the actions of the Iranian regime.
In his statement, Rama described the attack as deeply concerning and a serious threat to regional stability and international security. The head of government emphasized that Turkey is a brotherly country, a strategic partner of Albania, and an important ally within NATO.
Below is Prime Minister Rama’s full statement:
“Albania condemns in the strongest possible terms the ballistic missile attack by the Iranian regime against Turkey. The fact that this is the second such attack in recent days is deeply concerning and further highlights the aggressive and destabilizing nature of these actions.
Turkey is a brotherly country, a strategic partner of Albania, and a valued NATO ally. The Iranian regime’s attempts to spread tension and instability through continued attacks on its neighbors are extremely dangerous.
Such actions risk further escalating the situation and constitute a serious threat to regional and international security.
Albania welcomes NATO’s swift response in defending the territory, airspace, and citizens of the Alliance. Albania stands firmly side by side with Turkey and with all allies in defending the security and unity of our Alliance.”
