On the anniversary of the Sanctification of Mother Teresa, artists from Italy, from the “Bellini” ensemble, gave an instrumental concert in the city of Gjirokastra. In the concert shown in the “Zihni Sako” theater, art lovers attended an artistic program, where pieces by great composers and music from well-known Italian films were performed.

“We are very happy to be here in Gjirokastër this evening to present this concert in the tour that is being organized in Albania by the theater ensemble “Masimo Bellini” of Catania, which we decided to organize in honor of the anniversary of the canonization of Mother Teresa that as we know it is very dear to Albanians” – said Iva Palmieri, Consul General of Italy in Vlora.

“I must say that here we found a very attentive audience that was knowledgeable both about the different musical parts of the films we performed and about these films themselves. I can say that when there is an audience of such a level, it gives you emotion and encourages you to perform with desire and virtuosity. So I can say that we experienced great emotions” – said Aldo Ferrente, artistic leader.

Throughout the summer season, artists and well-known musical groups from Italy have given several concerts in Gjirokastër, attracting Italian tourists, who visited the stone city in considerable numbers.
