Analyst Alban Daci and journalist Genc Burimi debated about the clash between two groups in the Democratic Party, a year ago, on January 8, 2022.
In Euronews Albania, Daci said that what happened on January 8 was a war and not a fight, which according to him, was the correct definition of what happened.
According to Burimi, such events are now normal, as he made a comparison with the violent protests that the yellow vests organize in France.
Alban Daci: We must be careful with terms. January 8 was a war, not a fight.
Genc Burimi: It’s your opinion. Did you see the yellow vests in France? I am a journalist, I make observations.
Alban Daci: You are relativizing, not analyzing.
Genc Burimi: I don’t relativize, I compare.
Alban Daci: There is no comparison.
Genc Burimi: Are you a journalist or a militant?
Alban Daci: I am a journalist and I am more neutral than you.
Today marks one year since the clash between democrats at the PD headquarters.
Well-known figures of the Democratic Party have considered January 8, 2022 as a dark day for the Democratic Party, even the worst that has happened in a political party not only in Europe. Now, this situation is being investigated by SPAK where, several sources, have reported that the former prime minister, Sali Berisha, is also being investigated.
