The former MP of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku during Euronews Albania’s ‘Ilva Now’ stated that on April 25th, DP will receive more votes from those, who in 2013 voted for SP, because they are looking for the change that SP’s administration for 8 years in a row, was unable to give them.

According to her, through the campaign of DP from door to door, they have found support from voters of all different backgrounds, from first-time voters all the way to the formerly politically-persecuted.

Regarding the ballot paper, Tabaku said that until the end, DP was certain that the model of the ballot would be the one, where candidates are identified by name and their team, as the voting system with semi-open lists, should have given citizens the right to choose.

However, according to the former-MP, CEC’s latest decision doesn’t damage DP at all, because as she said “even if they used hieroglyphics, citizens would’ve been able to find DP’s logo and the number 9’’.

“It doesn’t damage DP one bit. We are fighting as a team; it doesn’t matter who wins a seat in parliament. Whoever wins a seat has an added responsibility. There are endless possibilities for whoever in that list, to find their place in our administration,” added Tabaku.
