Journalist Eni Ferhati says that prosecutor Altin Dumani is the favorite of the American ambassador, Yuri Kim, to take over the leadership of SPAK, based on some information he has managed to learn.

During ‘Now” on Euronews Albania, Ferhati said that Prime Minister Edi Rama prefers prosecutor Edvin Kondili to head SPAK.

“At least from what we have managed to learn, unofficially, because no one has come forward with the position of a candidate, it is understandable that the embassy seems to have some support and prefers Mr. Altin Dumani as the head of SPAK. Whereas, the favorite of the government, let’s say, or of other factors in the country, of various lobbies, is Mr. Edvin Kondili. Meanwhile, Adnan Xholi has not been attached to any factor or interested party in this process. I personally would like to see the last head of the Special Prosecutor’s Office, Mr. Xholi, because in my opinion, he fulfills all the criteria”, he emphasized.
