The former Speaker of the Parliament of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli, took the floor today at the Special Court in The Hague, where the progress of the court case against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army was being discussed.
Veseli spoke about the duration of the trial, while demanding responsibility that this process towards him and others be fair, transparent and take place in a reasonable time.
“I don’t want to prejudice anyone, but what I want to say is this; I believe that it is in the interest of the public and not only us as accused that someone should take the responsibility of decision-making that this process, before the people of Kosovo not only to be fair, not only transparent, not only to respect the procedures, the Constitution and the laws of the Republic of Kosovo, but also to preserve and guarantee a fair trial and in a reasonable time”, said Veseli.
