NATO’s mission in Kosovo, KFOR, responded to Euronews Albania following reports about drone activity in the northern areas of the country, emphasizing that it has not detected any actions threatening security in Kosovo’s territory.

“KFOR has not identified any drone violations that compromise Kosovo’s security. The mission continues its daily activities in line with the mandate from the United Nations,” the official response to Euronews Albania stated.

The statement highlighted that KFOR remains in close contact with Kosovo’s security organizations, as well as with the Serbian Armed Forces.

“KFOR remains in close contact with Kosovo security organizations and the Serbian Armed Forces. It continues its daily activities, contributing to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo, in accordance with its longstanding UN mandate, at all times impartial and in close cooperation with the Kosovo Police and the EU Rule of Law Mission (EULEX), each in its role as a security responder.”

The reaction comes amid occasional tensions in northern Kosovo, where local authorities have reported the presence of unidentified drones in airspace near security facilities.
