According to journalist, Bledian Koka, the acting Chair of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha has articulated his stance, in regards to Berisha’s non-grata designation by the United States.

“Basha has clearly articulated his stance since the very start and he has been standing his ground ever since. Something that is very unlike Basha, who is known to change his mind. His stand is clear, steadfast and unequivocal.

For the first time, he has said he is looking for the evidence that could prove what Mr. Berisha is being accused of,” said Koka on Euronews Albania’s political panel show, ‘NOW’.

Koka was also critical of the statements made by the US ambassador to Albania, Yuri Kim, who has been recently asking for Berisha’s exemption from DP’s parliamentary group, on numerous occasions.

“What the US has been doing in regards to the Democratic Party is at best, unacceptable,” – said Koka, adding that the US ambassador’s mention of the ‘grass’ aphorism has smeared the entire history of the Democratic Party.

“Democrats have been continuously laying out the question: How is it possible that no one comes out and asks, what is this? How could they, whoever they may be, an ambassador or whoever, who can they come out and make a statement about ‘grass’. This is just wrong,” – argued Koka.
