Speaker of the Assembly of Albania, Elisa Spiropali’s visit to Kosovo has been commented on as an attempt to “melt” the cold relationship that is supposed to have been created between Albania and Kosovo.

However, her counterpart Glauk Konjufca said that the purpose of this visit is not this, but a way to transmit the feeling of love and brotherhood to the two peoples.

“I don’t think we have ever had a freeze between Albania and Kosovo. We, as representatives of the institutions, have been at the level of duty to transmit a feeling, and this is the feeling of love, of brotherhood. This is how the governments have acted and if you want to present an eventual disagreement between the prime ministers as something that reflects the relations between the two states, this is not true at all”, said Konjufca.

Speaker Konjufca denied that the prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and that of Albania, Edi Rama, have frozen relations between them.
